Arguably destruction of the  nature is modernity's great accomplishment. But, probably  the hallmark of this accomplishment is transformation of human being to human doing.

This is not just the postmodernist propaganda that claims modernity is fraudulent , pathological and self serving. And as an example it is  so by the way of  turning  the word "happy" as an  adjective into an action word.  

Merry-go-around is just that. It is  the futile attempt to escape from the hole inside to become whole on the outside.  the more and the harder it was tried the bigger the hole became. and the more the hole was embraced the larger the wholesome became inside. keep going around the circle , whole/hole.  whole/hole   whole/hole ......

Until one day the modern human went to his therapist to solve this dilemma.   The therapist suggested do the thigs that makes you happy.
